    How exactly does ScriptPro’s Telepharmacy system work?

    To fill prescriptions from a remote pharmacy, technicians scan the product barcode or robot-filled vials on the SP Datapoint, take an Inspection Image of the pills or the unlabeled unit-of-use item and the prescription label, and place an Inspection Call to the support pharmacy for prescription verification.

    To verify prescriptions, a pharmacist answers the Inspection Call. Then staff at the remote pharmacy scans the barcode on the prescription label, allowing both sites to see the prescription information and images on-screen.

    The pharmacist then verifies the prescription, and batches it to the designated storage location, such as Will Call.

    The patient requests counseling on the Electronic Signature device and the system prompts the remote staff to place a Counseling Call to the support pharmacist for patient counseling.
