Back in 1997 when ScriptPro introduced the
first robotic prescription dispensing system for
community pharmacies, Richard Yura, owner
of Professional Pharmacy, immediately saw the
value of the system to his growing pharmacy
business. ScriptPro installed an SP 200 in Richard’s
pharmacy on September 23, 1997.
More than 10 years later,
Richard says he still loves the
machine, and his staff loves it,
too. “It has saved us so much
time, it’s not even funny.
We’ve never had a mistake
with the machine and it has
paid for itself.”

Michael Yura, co-owner of the
pharmacy with his father, said, “We would have
no reason to replace our SP 200 after all this time.
ScriptPro designed it right from the beginning,
that’s why the machine is as relevant today as it
was in 1997.”
At the time he was considering the SP 200,
Richard’s hands were tied with a staffing matrix
of two pharmacy technicians for each pharmacist.
He really needed more help but couldn’t find an
affordable way to hire within the matrix. Michael
said, “We figured out the cost per hour for
more employees and the cost per hour for the
SP 200 and determined that the SP 200 would be
more economical.”
“Our prescription volume has
more than doubled since we
got the robot, but our staffing
is about the same,” said
Michael.
Richard made the decision
to go with ScriptPro when he
came to visit the Headquarters
in Mission, KS. “I went to
see where the machine was
designed and made and I talked to the people
making it. One man told me, ‘you will not have
to worry about service, this machine will be taken
care of,’ and was he right.”
“ScriptPro has the best customer support of any
company I’ve ever dealt with,” added Michael.“And it gives us the opportunity to serve our
customers in the way that we should.”
